Overview[]

Genome is a NCBI database containing genomic resources including annotation and analysis, assemblies, chromosomes, BLAST, and sequence and map data from the whole genomes of over 1000 species or strains. The genomes represent both completely sequenced genomes and those with sequencing in-progress. Bacteria, archaea, and eukaryota are represented, as well as many viruses, phages, viroids, plasmids, and organelles.[1][2]

Utility[]

Genome includes links to Basic Local Alignment Search Tools (BLAST) for human and microbial nucleotides.
